Due to the unique characteristics of WearSox®, it can be applied to almost any down-hole tool needing wear protection.
This 16 inch diameter sleeve from a Downhole Devices wellhead jetting tool required hard-facing for protection in the open hole but any conventional welded hard metal would have caused distortion. The low temperature of WearSox’ application causes no metallurgical change to the parent metal. Note that this application has been buffed to make it even more casing friendly.
The flexible application process of WearSox allows the likes of this adjusting ring for an NOV bent housing down-hole motor to be readily modified for different hole sizes.
